Born in Nantong Jiangsu Province, Bao Yujun used to serve as former deputy secretary of party committee and deputy chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, former vice chief editor of People's Daily. After graduating from the Department of Journalism at Renmin University of China in 1966, Bao Yujun takes positions successively as reporter, editor, group leader, director of Science and Education Department, member of Editorial Board, Secretary-General, deputy Editor-in-Chief and President of East China Branch of People's Daily from 1967 to 1996. Afterwards, Bao Yujun served as Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in 1996. In addition, Bao Yujun is member and vice Secretary General of the Eighth CPPCC, member of the Ninth CPPCC, member of Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the Ninth CPPCC. From 2000 to 2009, Bao Yujun takes position as President of the Private Economy Research Institute of China and later served as guest researcher at the Counselors’ Office of the State Council, President of All China Private Enterprise Federation from 2009 to 2015. Bao Yujun’s works on Private Economy include Call For Understanding, Call Again, etc. Until now, Bao Yujun is still studying on private economy and taking position as the Honorary Chairman of Beijing Liaoning Enterprise Chamber of Commerce and the Dean of Minsheng Acadmy etc.
