In 2006, Juhong Chen became editor-in-chief of qq.com, the tenth most trafficked website in the world and the product of China’s leading new media company, Tencent. Now,serves as the vice president of Tencent. Prior to this position, Ms. Chen was the director of news and features of Southern Weekend, an influential weekly newspaper in China. After seven years, Chen moved to Window on the South, a major government publication, serving as the magazine’s editor-in-chief. Ms. Chen attended Harvard University on a Nieman fellowship from 2002 to 2003. She frequently lectures about globalization’s impact on the media and the changing landscape of China’s Internet sector.
