Bernard Yeung joined NUS in 2008. His previous positions include the Abraham Krasnoff Professor in Global Business, Economics, and Management at New York University Stern School of Business; director of the NYU China House, Professor at the University of Michigan and Associate Professor at the University of Alberta.Yeung’s research interests are in Development, Corporate Finance, Economics and Strategy, having more than 100 research journals appear in top academic journals. He has written for top-tier media publications, such as the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal, edited four books, and contributed chapters to leading books.He received several scholarly honors and awards for academic excellence, including the Irwin Outstanding Educator Award (2013) from the Business Policy and Strategy division of the Academy of Management; the Excellence in Teaching Award (Executive Education) from Stern School of Business at NYU; and Teacher Excellence Award (doctoral programs) from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He is an elected fellow of the Academy of International Business (AIB). In addition, Yeung was a member of the Economic Strategies Committee in Singapore and the Financial Research Council of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. He is currently the President of the Asia Bureau of Finance and Economics Research, and on the Advisory Boards of Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Economics and Management School of Wuhan University. He is alsoon the Research Advisory Council of the Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning (CAFRAL), Reserve Bank of India. He had previously served as a dean director on the Graduate Management Admission Council® (GMAC) board.Yeung received his bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from the University of Western Ontario and his MBA and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
