Lawrence Chia is the CEO of Deloitte China since 2013, and sits on the Global and Asia Pacific Executive Committees of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu global organization. Deloitte China has over 14000 professionals in 23 offices, providing professional services covering the spectrum of Audit, Tax, Risk Advisory, Consulting and Financial Advisory.

His career with Deloitte over the past 30 years, first in audit and then in financial advisory, is closely tied to China's economic development, growth and globalization. He has led many landmark engagements to assist Chinese enterprises across a range of industry sectors to build scale through strategic acquisitions and hires, and to expand their global footprint. Admitted to the Deloitte partnership in 1990 as an Audit Partner, Lawrence launched and led Deloitte China’s corporate finance practice from 1997, building it up from an idea to become a practice of 900 professionals by the time he was appointed as Deloitte China CEO in 2013. He has been instrumental in building strategic networks to orchestrate and deliver Deloitte's services most effectively to enterprises in China, regionally and globally. He formed Deloitte's Asia Pacific Financial Advisory Services leadership group and was appointed in 2003 as Deloitte's head of Financial Advisory Services in Asia Pacific. As the Co-Chairman of Deloitte's Global Chinese Services Group from 2010 to 2013, Lawrence also led the network of nearly 500 Deloitte practitioners globally, with a core-team in China that provided enterprises with connected and integrated services covering 120 locations around the world. This network is one of the biggest global networks among professional services firms providing inbound and outbound investment support to clients.

Lawrence is a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
