Machkevitch is co-founder and Vice President of Kazakhstan Mineral Resources Corporation. Member of the Supervisory Board of the Kherson Oil Refining Complex since 1999. Machkevitch Alexander Antonovich is a founding shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Managers of Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), a leading diversified natural resources producer. The Luxembourg-based ERG has a portfolio of production assets and development projects in 14 countries, crossing four continents, and is represented by over 70.000 people globally, being a major employer in the industry. Mr Machkevitch worked as a lecturer and the dean of a faculty at Kyrgyz Pedagogical Institute; also worked for various commercial organisations and served on the Management Board of Seabeco. Since 1994, he has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board (the Board of Directors) of CJSC Eurasian Bank. Member of the Foreign Investors’ Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1999. Mr Machkevitch actively participates in the discussion of vital issues of the country’s policy and economy and in implementation of resolutions adopted at plenary sessions of the Council. He is a member of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Mr Machkevitch was awarded the Kurmet Order in 2001 for his significant contribution to the social and economic development of Kazakhstan. Ahead of the 20th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan he was awarded the Barys Order, 3rd class (2011), for outstanding achievements in business, social and cultural work and public activities. President of the Jewish Congress of Kazakhstan since 1999, President of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress from 2002 through 2011。
