TSUTOMU TOICHI is Senior Adviser for Research at the Institute of Energy Economics Japan (IEEJ).He is also a Member of Advisory Committee of INPEX Corporation. Since joining IEEJ in 1973, he has been engaged in Japan’s energy policy making process as an expert member of various governmental committees for many years. He was Research Fellow, Energy Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology during 1983-1985. He wrote many books and research papers of which the most recent publication is “Shale Revolution and Japan’s Energy Challenge”written in Japanese.He has a Doctor of Science in Geophysics from Tokyo University.
