Born in 1974 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, Wang Han is a host of Hunan Satellite TV, who hosted a number of popular variety shows, including Music Forever, Super Girl, Super Boy and Just the Two of Us. He is currently hosting Day Day Up and other programs. He is also a member of the Central Committee of China Association for Promoting Democracy (CAPD). On November 4, 2009, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Hunan Television Artists Association at its 4th congress. In 2010, he was honored as one of the “Most Influential TV Hosts in 30 Years”. In December 2011, he was elected as a member of the 10th CPPCC Committee of Hunan Province. In March 2013, Wang Han was appointed Executive Producer of variety show Day Day Up. On December 2, 2015, he was appointed as a trustee at the inaugural meeting of the Board of Trustees of Hunan Provincial Museum. At the 4th plenum of the 13th CAPD Central Committee on December 6, 2015, he was elected as a member of the CAPD Central Committee. In February 2016, he was appointed as Program Director of Hunan Satellite TV Channel. In July 2015, Wang Han contributed, out of his own pocket, RMB 4.65 million to finance a research program intended to study and preserve Hunan dialect. The program plans to organize 10 research teams to collect, study and record, in audio, visual and written forms, local dialect in 53 places within 5 to 10 years and transform findings into a database that will be donated to Hunan Provincial Museum.
