Wang Sicong, Chairman of Eloancn, has been an entrepreneur in the world of the Internet since 1997. In 2002, he began to introduce and match individual borrowers and lenders, which later inspired the founding of an online lending platform in 2007. Two years later, the platform was transformed into a pure Internet-based P2P lending website officially named Eloancn. In 2011, Eloancn was selected by the Wenzhou Municipal Government as a pilot of financial reform. In 2013, he co-founded Internet Finance Club 1000 together with other experts and entrepreneurs from the Internet finance sector. The strategic investment from Legend Holdings in November 2014 accelerated Eloancn’s growth and strengthened the company in such areas as capital, branding, management and talent access. In December 2014 Eloancn joined the Beijing P2P Industry Association and Wang Sicong was appointed as Executive Vice President. Under his leadership, Eloancn creatively fine-tuned foreign P2P lending models to improve their relevance to China and pioneered the intra-city O2O lending model in China. This approach perfectly combines online lending information with offline risk management—a P2P lending model that effectively improves risk management and facilitates access to capital for offline people, particularly those in need of capital for agricultural purposes.
