Wu Zhen is the Vice Minister of China Food and Drug Administration and the Party Leadership Group Member of CFDA. He was born in Yongfeng, Jiangxi Province, in May, 1958. He started his career in August, 1975, member of Communist Party of China, master degree. Former working experiences include, Staff of Division of Health Education and Technology of Jiangxi Health Bureau, Deputy Director General of Drug Administration of Jiangxi Health Bureau, Director General of Drug Administration of Jiangxi Health Bureau, Deputy Director General and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Jiangxi Drug Administration, Director General and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Jiangxi Drug Administration. From September, 2006, he was appointed as Vice Minister of CFDA and the Party Leadership Group Member of CFDA. From August 2007 to June 2011, he also took the position of Secretary General of Chinese Pharmacopeia Commission at the same time. From April 2013, he was assigned as the Assistant Minister of CFDA and the Party Leadership Group Member of CFDA. From July 2013, he was appointed as Vice Minister of China Food and Drug Administration and the Party Leadership Group Member of CFDA. From August 2015, he also acts as Vice minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
