Xu Huijun, male, 42 years old, graduated from Tsinghua University in 1998 with a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering. Upon graduation, Mr. Xu joined ZTE Corporation, serving as the manager of the DWDM optical transmission system R&D project, and from 1998 to 2003, as the director of the Beijing R&D center. During this period, the projects led by Mr. Xu won several Science and Technology Progress Awards in Guangdong and Shenzhen.Since 2004, Mr. Xu has served as a senior vice president of ZTE: from 2004 to 2007, in charge of divisions at headquarters; from 2007 to 2014, responsible for engineering and services in the sales division; and from 2014 to 2015, responsible for the Wireless Product Operation. Mr. Xu has years of expertise in the telecommunications industry, with over 17 years of management experience.Since the beginning of 2016, as the CTO of ZTE, Mr. Xu is responsible for the R&D and operation of ZTE's system products.During Mr. Xu's leadership of engineering and services in the sales division, he led the service business and achieved breakthroughs in multiple high-end markets in the US and Europe, while maintaining a high growth rate in professional service revenue. During Mr. Xu's leadership of the Wireless Product Operation, ZTE wireless products underwent rapid development, capturing more than 30% of the global 4G market, and achieving the world's fastest growth in 4G product sales. Mr. Xu continues to advocate and promote ZTE's strategic investment in the 5G field and full research into key 5G technologies, including network architecture design, multi-antenna technology, high-frequency communication, IoT integration, and new services. ZTE is the first to release Pre5G commercial base stations, and has carried out pre-commercial field tests with a number of operators.
