President, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

1945年4月20日，出生于伊洛瓦底省，勃生县，额不多(音译)区。1963年参军。1967获得军事大学文学学士学位。1967年至1995年，在部队中任职至准将军衔。1996年2000年，以少将军衔任金三角地区省军区司令员和省长之职；2001年至2006年以中将军衔任军务署长；2007年以上将军衔任职于缅甸陆军总司令部。1997年成为国家和平与发展委员会委员并于1998年担任科雷（音译）县和平与发展委员会主席；2003年任国家和平与发展委员会第二秘书；2004年任国家和平与发展委员会第一秘书。2008年任国家代总理。2008年10月至2011年3月任缅甸联邦国家总理。2010年由部队退休后，任联邦巩固和发展党主席。在2010年11月7日举行的综合选举中，参选内比都市赞布迪力（音译）选区人民议会代表并当选。2011年2月4日在联邦议会总统选举中当选总统。 2011年3月30日宣誓就任缅甸联邦共和国总统。曾多次获得部队的各种杰出称号，杰出才能奖和杰出勋章。

He received Primary and Secondary Education in Nga-Pu Taw Township, Pathein District, Ayeyarwaddy Region. He joined the Army in 1963 and graduated from Defence Services Academy with Bachelor of Arts in 1967. He served in various capacities up to the rank of Brigadier-General from 1967 to 1995. In 1996, he served as Commander of Triangle Region Command with the rank of Major-General. In 2007, he served with the rank of General in the Ministry of Defence and retired in 2010. He participated in the General Elections held on 7th November 2010, as a candidate from Zabuthiri Township Constituency in Nay Pyi Taw and was elected as a representative of Pyithu Hluttaw. On 4th February 2011, he was elected as President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar by Presidential Electoral College of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. After taking oath, on 30th March 2011, during the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Normal Session, he became President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
