三村明夫是新日铁住金株式会社（由新日本制铁株式会社与住友金属工业株式会社合并成立）董事、董事会成员及高级顾问。他在新日本制铁株式会社40多年的职业生涯中，主要从事如汽车、建筑、造船、家电、工业器械等制造行业的营销策略和销售。他于2003出任新日本制铁株式会社代表董事兼总经理，2008年任该公司代表董事兼董事长，并于当年10月1日被提名为新日铁住金株式会社董事、董事会成员及高级顾问。他在2004年至2005年担任世界钢铁联盟会长，现任日本经团连副会长。除钢铁行业和经济界的经历以外，他担任多项政府职务。他现任文部科学省、经济产业省、外务省的三个审议会会长；在2008年至2009年间担任经济财政咨问会议会员。三村明夫先生毕业于东京大学经济系，在哈佛大学取得经营管理硕士学位。

Akio MIMURA is the Director, Member of the Board and Senior Advisor of Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation which was integrated by Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal. In his more than 40 years career in Nippon steel, most of his career is related to marketing strategy and sales for manufacturing sector such as automobile, construction, shipbuilding, home electric appliance and industrial machines. He became Representative Director and President of Nippon Steel in 2003, Representative Director and Chairman of the Company in 2008 and was named Director, Member of the Board and Senior Advisor of NSSMC on October 1 of this year. Also, he was chairman of World Steel Association (former IISI) from 2004 to 2005, and vice chairman of Japan Business Federation from 2005 to 2009. Addition to his career in steel industry or business, Mr. Mimura is contributing to as government-related appointee. Currently he is the chairman of 3 councils for ministry of Education, ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also, he was appointed as the member of National Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy from 2008 to 2009. Mr. Mimura is a graduate of Tokyo University in economics and Harvard Business School.
