袁懋振，1946年11月出生，大学本科学历，教授级高级工程师，清华大学、华南理工大学、中国井冈山干部学院客座教授，广东省政府发展研究中心特约研究员。2000年荣获广东省劳动模范称号，2001年获全国五一劳动奖章，2002年被批准为享受政府特殊津贴专家。袁懋振于1982年—2002年期间历任山东烟台电业局副局长、局长，山东省电力工业局副局长，中国南方联营公司总经理兼党组书记，国家　电力公司南方公司总经理兼党组书记职务。2002年12月—2010年2月，任中国南方电网有限责任公司董事长、党组书记。现任中国南方电网有限责任公司咨询委名誉主任委员、中国国新控股有限责任公司外部董事。

Mr. Yuan Maozhen was born in Nov. 1946 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. He is a Professional-Level Senior Engineer, who is attaching to Tsinghua University, South China University of Technology and China Executive Leadership Academy, Jinggangshan as a guest professor and the research fellow of Guangdong Governmental Development Research Centre. He was awarded the title of Guangdong Provincial model worker in 2000, granted national "May 1" labor medals in 2001 and was approved to be the expert enjoying governmental special allowance in 2002. Mr. Yuan Maozhen successively held the posts of Deputy Director, Director of Shandong Yantai Electric Power Bureau, Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Electric Power Industry Bureau, President and Secretary of China Southern Power Associate Company, President and Secretary of State Power South Company from 1982 to 2002. He was the Board Chairman and Secretary of China Southern Power Grid Company during Dec. 2002 to Feb. 2010. At present, he holds the position of Honorary Director of China Southern Power Grid Company’s Consultative Committee as well as the Outside Director of China Reform Holdings Corporation Ltd..
