张维迎现任北京大学光华管理学院经济学教授，北京大学市场与网络经济研究中心主任，兼任中国企业家论坛首席经济学家。1982年获西北大学经济学学士学位，1984年获硕士学位；1990年9月入牛津大学读书，1992年获经济学硕士学位，1994年获博士学位。2000年获得国家自然科学杰出青年基金；2002年获得CCTV“中国经济年度人物”；2008年选入中国经济体制改革研究会评选的“中国改革30年经济30人”；2011年，因对双轨制价格改革的开创性贡献荣获第四届“中国经济理论创新奖”。

Professor of Economics and director of the Center for Market and Network Economy of Peking University, chief economist of China Entrepreneurs Forum. He received a bachelor degree and a master degree in economics from Northwestern University; and M. Phil. and D. Phil. in economics from Oxford University. From 1984 to 1990, he was a researcher of the Economic System Reform Institute of China under the State Commission of Restructuring Economic System. He was co-founder of Peking University’s China Center for Economic Research. He was the executive associate dean of Guanghua School of Management from February 1999 to August 2006, and dean from September 2006 to December 2010. Professor Zhang has been widely regarded as a “leading market liberalist” and an authority of the theory of the firm and ownership reform in China. He was awarded the “National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars” in 2000 by the Natural Science Foundation of China, and "the 10 People of the Year in Chinese Economy" by CCTV in 2002. In 2008, he was selected as one of “the 30 persons of the 30-year Economic reform of China” by China Economic Reform Association. In 2011, he received China Economic Theory Innovation Award for his pioneering contribution to the dual-track price reform.
