艾尔克霍克斯特自1995年以来一直活跃在国际储罐行业。他于2003年加入孚宝集团，担任孚宝富查伊拉港务有限公司（阿拉伯联合酋长国）总经理；2005年，艾尔克转调至布宜诺斯艾利斯市，担任孚宝集团拉美地区总裁；2008年，艾尔克转至公司亚洲地区部门，担任孚宝集团亚洲地区总裁；2010年9月1日，艾尔克成为皇家孚宝董事会成员；2011年1月1日，艾尔克被任命为孚宝集团执行委员会主席。

Eelco Hoekstra has been active in the international tank storage industry since 1995. He joined Royal Vopak in 2003, where he took up the position of Managing Director of Vopak Horizon Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. Then, in 2005 he relocated to Buenos Aires in Argentina where he assumed the position of President of Vopak Latin America. In 2008 he was appointed Division President of Vopak Asia in Singapore. On the 1st of September 2010 he joined the Executive Board of Royal Vopak in Rotterdam. As per the 1st of January 2011 he was appointed as Chairman of the Executive Board & CEO.
