Laurent Burelle, 63 years old, started as production engineer in France in 1975 and then was promoted as Chairman and CEO in 1977 of Plastic Omnium Spain. Then he joined the Plastic Omnium Company Headquarters in Paris-France in 1981 as Senior Vice-President Environment and was promoted as Vice-Chairman and Senior Executive Vice-President of the Group until 2001. Since 2001, he is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Plastic Omnium Company (6.2 billions US$, operations in 29 countries on 4 continents, 107 industrial facilities and 23 000 employees). He is graduated from the Swiss Polytechnic Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich and holds a Master of Sciences in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T) in Boston. He is a board member of Pernod Ricard, Lyonnaise de Banque, Labruyere Eberle and the Foundation Jacques Chirac. Laurent Burelle speaks French, German, English and Spanish.
