张宇燕，中国社会科学院世界经济与政治研究所研究员、所长，中国社会科学院研究生院教授、博士生导师，曾任中国社会科学院亚洲太平洋研究所所长，中国社会科学院美国研究所副所长，兼任中国世界经济学会会长、新兴经济体研究会会长、外交部外交政策咨询委员会委员。主要研究领域为制度经济学和国际政治经济学，主要代表著作有《经济发展与制度选择》（1992）、《美洲金银与西方世界的兴起》（2004）、《国际经济政治学》（2007）等。

Zhang Yuyan is Senior Fellow and Director of the Institute of World Economics & Politics (IWEP) of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the Graduate School of CASS. His past positions in CASS include Director of the Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, Deputy Director of the Institute of American Studies. He also served as President of China Society of World Economics, President of China Society of Emerging Economies, and Member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. His research interests focus on institutional economics and international political economy. His publications include Economic Development and the Choice of Institutions (1992), American Bullion and the Rise of Western Europe (2004), International Economic Politics (2007), and etc.
