潘纳威于2011年2月加入FMG集团，7月18日被任命为集团总裁。FMG是澳大利亚证券交易所15强的铁矿公司，公司员工近4000人，年营业额67亿澳元，公司市值150亿澳元。潘纳威在矿业、建筑及钢铁行业具有丰富经验。他曾任澳大利亚大型矿业及建筑 承包公司Thiess 的总裁。此前，他曾在 Smorgon 钢铁集团任职 10 余年，该公 司在制铁、下游加工及分销业务领域具有澳洲及全球领先地位。潘纳威刚参加工作时曾是学徒工。他曾在 MIM 公司的地下及地面矿区、矿业加工 事业从事高级工程和运营工作，从中掌握了第一手领导经验。潘纳威持有南昆士兰大学工程学士学位、昆士兰大学 MBA 学位。潘纳威长期大力支持为原著居民提供就业机会，并会促使FMG在该方面的工作得以加强及发展。他已婚，有3个儿子均已长大成人。他对管理家族牧牛场保持着浓厚的兴趣。潘纳威热爱飞行，持有直升飞机及固定翼飞机驾驶执照，可以驾驶多种型号飞机。

Nev was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Fortescue Metals Group on July 18th, 2011 after joining the company in February. Fortescue Metals Group Ltd. is a top 15 ASX listed Iron Ore company with almost 4000 direct Fortescue employees, revenue of US$6.7bn and A$15bn market capital. Nev has an extensive background in the mining, construction and steel industries. He was previously Chief Executive Australia Operations with Thiess, Australia’s leading mining and construction contractor. Prior to this, he worked for Smorgon Steel Group for over 10 years, leading steel making, downstream processing, and distribution businesses in Australia and overseas. Coming off the land, Nev started his career as an Apprentice. He progressively added formal qualifications to his hands-on leadership experience through a variety of senior engineering and operational roles in underground and open cut mining, and minerals processing with MIM Holdings. Nev has a Bachelor Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and an MBA from the University of Queensland. Nev has long been a champion of Indigenous employment and he is already involved in strengthening and extending Fortescue's work in this area. He is married with three adult sons and maintains an active interest in the family cattle property. An avid aviator, Nev holds both helicopter and fixed wing licenses with endorsements on a range of aircraft.
