冯国经博士于香港出生长大，持有美国麻省理工学院电机工程学士及硕士，以及哈佛大学经济学博士学位。曾任职哈佛大学商学院教授四年，于1976年 回港。现任利丰集团主席、国际商会主席中国银行（香港）有限公司、中华人民共和国宝钢集团公司及新加坡嘉德置地有限公司独立非执行董事。冯博士兼任的社会公职有：中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会委员、中国国际经济交流中心副理事长、大珠三角商务委员会主席、香港特别行政区策略发展委员会成员、港日经济合作委员会主席、为香港贸易发展局主席（1991-2000）、3为亚太经济合作组织（APEC）商业顾问委员会香港代表（1996-2000）、为香港机场管理局主席（1999-2008）、为香港大学校务委员会主席（2001-2009年11月）。

Dr Victor K Fung is the Group Chairman of the Li & Fung Group and is Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce headquartered in Paris. Dr Fung is an independent non-executive Director of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, Baosteel Group Corporation (People’s Republic of China) and CapitaLand Limited (Singapore). Dr Fung holds a number of civic and professional appointments. He is a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and a Vice Chairman of China Centre for International Economic Exchanges of the People’s Republic of China. He is Chairman of the Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council. He is also a member of the Commission on Strategic Development of the Government of Hong Kong SAR. From 2001 to November 2009, Dr Fung was Chairman of the Council of The University of Hong Kong, from 1999 to 2008, Chairman of the Airport Authority Hong Kong, from 1996 to 2003, Hong Kong representative on the APEC Business Advisory Council and from 1991 to 2000 and Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dr Fung holds Bachelor and Master Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Doctorate in Business Economics from Harvard University. He was a professor at Harvard Business School for four years before returning to Hong Kong in 1976.
