陆川，中国著名导演、编剧、制片人，因其创作的电影立意深刻、视角新颖、风格独树一帜而被媒体称为“中国新生代电影导演领军者”。《寻枪》、《可可西里》、《南京！南京！》、《王的盛宴》四部电影作品，在国内外各大电影颁奖礼及著名国际电影节上都取得骄人成绩，共荣获包括：西班牙圣塞巴斯蒂安国际电影节最佳电影金贝壳奖、亚洲电影大奖最佳导演奖、洛杉矶影评人协会奖最佳外语片奖、东京国际电影节评委会大奖等40余项国际大奖。2010年，陆川担任上海世博会国家馆影像艺术总监，及主展影片总导演。2012年，陆川又受邀出任国家体育场-鸟巢驻场秀总导演。

Lu Chuan is a renown Chinese Director, Producer, and Screenwriter. Dubbed “the pioneer of China’s next generation of directors”, he is known for the freshness, originality, and profundity that he incorporates in his works. Since 2001, Lu has directed, written, and produced four films: The Missing Gun, Kekexili, Mountain Patrol, and City of Life and Death, also known as Nanjing! Nanjing! The Last Supper. Each was met with massive box office successes and garnered critical acclaim, amassing a total of more than 40 domestic and international film awards. His last film, City of Life and Death, earned him Best Director at the Asia Film Awards, Best Foreign Language Film at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards, and the Golden Seashell at the San Sebastian International Film Festival. Lu has also directed the exhibition short shown at the China Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo. In 2012, he was invited to direct a stage show to take place at the Bird’s Nest.
