裴钢教授，1991年获美国北卡大学生物化学和生物物理学博士学位，2012年获内布拉斯加大学医学中心荣誉科学博士学位和逢甲大学荣誉工学博士学位。2000年任中科院上海生命科学研究院院长，2007年8月起任同济大学校长、教授。于1999年当选中国科学院院士，2001年当选第三世界科学院院士。2002年、2007年分别获国家自然科学二等奖，2010年获陈嘉庚生命科学奖，2011年获谈家桢生命科学成就奖。

In 1991, Professor Pei gang received a Ph.D in biochemistry and biophysics from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in USA. In 2012, he was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate of Science from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and an Honorary Doctorate of Engineering from Feng Chia University. In 2000, He served as Dean of the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has been the President of Tongji University from August of 2007. Professor Pei Gang was elected a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999, and a member of the Third World Academy of Sciences in 2002. Professor Pei Gang respectively won a Grade II National Natural Science Award in 2002 and 2007. He also won a Grade I Natural Science Award from Shanghai in 2006, the Tan Kah Kee Life Sciences Award in 2010 and the Tan Jiazhen Life Sciences Achievement Award in 2011.
