Sushma Berlia 女士身兼数职 —— Apeejay Stya & Svrán 集团总裁、Apeejay 教育学会主席、Apeejay Stya 大学的校长,她还是多国高端商会 PHDCCI 的第一位女性主席。她享有印度工业联合会 (CII) 授予的杰出贡献荣誉(工业和学术)。Berlia 于 2004 年创立 FICCI 高等教育委员会,作为委员会主席,她在教育改革制定政策等方面贡献卓著,并发挥着主导作用。国际商会指定由她代表印度参加“生物技术委员会”。她还代表 OPPI 参与“IFPMA(国际制药企业协会联合会)互联网特别小组”。2009 年 7 月,Berlia 女士在伦敦的国际发展部 (DFID) 就“全球经济危机给印度 / 南亚投资和就业带来的影响和挑战”提出了她在商业方面的看法。2011 年 10 月,她作为官方代表团的一员赴美国参加美-印高等教育峰会,并就“通过私有企业 / 学术-工业研究合作伙伴构建产能”话题进行发言。此外,她与印度政府、UNIC(联合国信息中心)共同获得“国际妇女大会‘2009 年国际终生成就奖’”。Berlia 女士积极参与各种国内和国际论坛,对女童教育事业、女性在家庭、工作和社会中的权力等方面给予大力支持。
Mrs. Sushma Berlia, President of Apeejay Stya and Svrán Group, Apeejay education Society & Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University is first-ever woman President multi-state apex chamber PHDCCI, & also felicitated by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for Outstanding Contribution in Industry & Academia. As the founder Chairperson of the Higher Education Committee of FICCI in 2004, Mrs. Berlia has contributed and played a leading role in formulating policies in the field of educational reform & all. She was nominated to represent India at the ‘Commission of Biotech Society’ by the International Chamber of Commerce & to represent OPPI in the Internet Task Force of the IFPMA (International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association). She has also presented the business perspective of “The impact & challenges of the Global Economic crisis on Investment & Employment in India/South Asia” at the Department for International Development, London (DFID) in July 2009. As a member of the official delegation to the United States for the US-India Higher Education Summit held in October 2011, she spoke on ‘Building Capacity through Private Sector/Academic-Industry Research Partnerships’. She is also recipient of ‘International Lifetime Achievement Award 2009’ of the ‘International Congress of Women’ in Collaboration with the Govt. of India and the UNIC”. Mrs. Berlia has actively championed, at various national and international forums, the cause of education of the girl child, and women’s empowerment in the family, industry and society at large.
