吴鹰，毕业于美国新泽西州理工大学，主修数字通讯及数字信号处理，硕士学位。1987年加入美国贝尔实验室，在Bellcore实验室负责个人通信、多媒体通讯等前沿技术研究。1991年创办Starcom公司，并回国创业。1995年10月，携Starcom公司与Unitech公司合并成立UT斯达康公司，自此至2007年7月担任UT斯达康中国公司董事长、首席执行官。2008年创立中泽嘉盟投资基金，现任董事长。吴鹰目前还担任国务院侨办海外专家咨询委员会委员，深圳市政府互联网产业高级顾问，以及数字中国联合会会长。

Ying Wu, chairman of China Capital Group since October 2008, has more than 25 years of experiences as a technological innovator and telecommunications entrepreneur. Co-founder of UTStarcom Inc., Ying served as chairman and chief executive officer of UTStarcom (China) Co., Ltd. Prior to its merger with Unitech Telecom, Inc. in 1995, he was president of Starcom, Inc., which he co-founded in 1991. Previous to his founding role with these start-up enterprises, Ying was a member of the technical staff at Bellcore, and earlier a consultant to AT&T Bell Labs.Ying is currently a member of the think-tank Consultant Committee of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and senior consultant on Internet industry for the ShenZhen City government. He also performs Chairman of E-China Alliances.He holds an MS in electrical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a BS in electrical engineering from Beijing Industrial University.The recipient of numerous awards, Ying was recognized in 1998 by Business Week as one of the 50 Stars of Asia, credited for averting a financial crisis in Asia. In 2003, China Central TV (CCTV) named Ying one of the Top 10 Most Influential Persons to our country’s economy.
