保育钧，江苏南通人。全国工商联原党组副书记、副主席。《人民日报》原副总编辑。1966年毕业于中国人民大学新闻系，1967年至1996年历任人民日报社记者、编辑、组长、科教部主任、编辑委员、秘书长、副总编辑兼华东分社社长；1996年任全国工商联副主席、党组副书记。第八届全国政协委员、副秘书长。第九届全国政协委员、社会法制委员会委员。2000年任中国民（私）营经济研究会会长。2009年以后任国务院参事室特邀研究员、中华民营企业联合会会长。研究民营经济的著作有《呼唤理解》、《再呼唤》等。

Bao Yujun, born in Nantong Jiangsu Province. Former Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Former Vice Chief Editor of the People's Daily. Graduated from the Department of Journalism of Renmin University of China. Served successively as Reporter, Editor, Headman, Director of Science and Education Department, Editorial Board, Secretary-General, Deputy Editor-in-Chief and President of East China Branch of the People's Daily from 1967 to 1996. Served as Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Deputy Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in 1996. Member and Vice Secretary-General of the Eighth CPPCC. Member of the Ninth CPPCC, Member of Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the Ninth CPPCC. Served as President of the Private Economy Research Institute of China in 2000. Served as Guest Researcher of the Counselors’ Office of the State Council, President of the All China Private Enterprise Federation from 2009. Works on Private Economy include Call For Understanding, Call Again, etc.
