陈瑞隆先生曾任台湾地区经济部长，负责督导台湾整体经济发展，职责涵盖产业发展和国际贸易关系，包括台湾积极参与世界贸易组织和亚太经济合作会议等国际经贸组织。陈先生于2008年5月退休之后，受聘担任台湾资策会董事长。目前担任台湾华聚产业共同标准推动基金会董事长；该基金之任务在促进大陆与台湾之间资通讯产品产业标准之协调。

Mr. Chen was appointed Taiwan Region’s Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) in August 2006. As Taiwan Region’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Steve Chen had a broad range of duties. He oversaw Taiwan’s economic development as a whole, with a portfolio spanning from industrial development to international trade relations, including Taiwan’s active participation in international trade organizations, such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). After his retirement in May, 2008, he was invited to be the Board Chairman of the Institute for Information Industry. Currently, he is the Board Chairman of SINOCON Industrial Standards Foundation in Taiwan, promoting the harmonization of ICT industrial standards between the mainland and Taiwan.
