Annual Conference 2021 is an exclusive event for BFA members, partners and special invitees. After receiving the invitation, please register via the web link on the invitation. Anyone who wish to apply for an invitation to the conference, please provide corporate profile and individual bio for verification. Invitation letter will be sent to those who meet the criteria for participation.

The registration fee is 6,000 US dollars for BFA members and 9,000 US dollars for non-members. The registration fee covers participation of entire conference events, cost of accreditation, documentation, transportation between Haikou Meilan International Airport and designated hotels in Boao; shuttle service from hotels to conference venue, exclusive of participants’ travel, accommodation and other personal expenses. The registration fee for spouse covers the cost of accreditation, transportation between Haikou Meilan International Airport and designated hotels in Boao; shuttle service from hotels to conference venue, and social dinners, but no access to conference sessions, including luncheons.

Due to limited transport and accommodation capacities in Boao, delegates are not encouraged to bring accompanying persons/assistants.

If you choose to make the payment by wire transfer or credit card, the Secretariat shall email you the Payment Notice. A confirmation letter shall be sent to you via email upon the completion of payment. The invoice is available if required.

The cut-off date for registration application is April 10th, 2021. No registration beyond the date will be accepted in principle.

If a delegate cancels registration after fee is paid, he/she must notify the Secretariat in writing by fax or email. 10% processing fees will be charged if the request is received before March 21st, 2021. 20% processing fees if the request is received between March 21st and March 28th, and no refund after March 28th. If a BFA member/partner decide to cancel, the cancellation policy is 10% process fees will be charged if the request is received before April 5th. 20% processing fees if the request is received before April 9th, and no refund after April 9th. According to relevant financial rules, the registration fee for the current year cannot be transferred to next year. The delegate who is not approved by the political clearance can ask for a full refund.

There are more than 1,800 official delegates coming to the Annual Conference each year, including government leaders and officials (25%), top corporate executives (55%), scholars/experts (10%) and media representatives (10%).

Haikou Meilan International Airport and Sanya Phoenix International Airport are 1.5-2 hours away from Boao by car, and 40-50 minutes away by Hainan Island Eastern Coast High-speed Railway.

Transportation arrangements shall be provided to all delegates from Haikou Meilan International Airport to Peilan Bridge Registration Center and from there to conference designated hotels at Boao during the conference. Shuttle service shall also be provided to transfer delegates from designated hotels to conference venue for conference programs and social events. Shuttles shall run at regular intervals throughout the annual conference.

Chinese and English. Simultaneous interpretation is available at all conference sessions.

BFA memberships fall into seven different types: honorary, initial, donor, diamond, platinum, ordinary and associate memberships. The first two types of memberships are no longer open to applications. Donor, diamond and platinum memberships have 10 years, 5 years, or 3 years, depending on the application. Ordinary and associate memberships are 3 years. Members will enjoy special discount registration fee and the premium members will have complimentary registration quotas.

Three categories of membership are open for application to business community: Diamond, Platinum and Ordinary. Application for membership is strictly screened by the Secretariat. For those who wish to attend the annual conference as a member and enjoy members’ benefits, please check the page of Membership Application on BFA official website and then download the membership application form. After completing the form please send it together with other requested documents to BFA Secretariat by fax or email. The Secretariat staff will then process the application and contact the applicant accordingly in 10 working days.

Tropic maritime climate, pleasant weather during the Annual Conference. Highest temperature: 35 degree centigrade; lowest temperature: 25 degree centigrade.

Boao is located on the eastern coast of Hainan Island as part of Qionghai City. As one of the most famous resorts and conference centers, it is 80 km from Haikou Airport. Boao is comprised of three tiny islands at the confluence of Wanquan River and the South China Sea, the largest of which – Dongyu Island – is home to Boao International Conference Center and most of its hotels. The Jade Belt Beach at the mouth of Wanquan River is unique because on one side of it is the seawater and on the other is the freshwater. In 2002, Boao became the permanent site of the annual conference of Boao Forum for Asia.
