
Joining Phoenix Satellite Television in May 2003, Angela Chow is a bilingual television host with uniquely diverse experience in Asia from every aspect of entertainment to news. She just co-hosted Miss World 2003 Finals in Sanya, China for which Phoenix Satellite Television owns the exclusive broadcast rights. This made Angela the first Chinese bilingual host in the history of Miss World in its widest seen show ever, airing to 116 countries and an audience of over 2.6 billion. Born in Taiwan, Angela Chow moved at the age of seven to Canada, where she studied Electrical Engineering, Computer Option at the University of British Columbia. An eloquent, multi-lingual communicator, Angela started her career in the media since June 1992 when she was brought to Hong Kong as the youngest VJ of MTV Asia. Establishing herself first as a well-known music presenter, Angela's media exposure further expanded to radio and television. Her experience included appearing in advertisements, movies and stage performances. She also had her own record album. Among her many assignments, Miss Chow has hosted a concert by pop diva Mariah Carey and the press conference on"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" directed by Ang Lee. She has also interviewed over 100 globally-known artistes. In January 2002, Angela made a sensational transition from entertainment to broadcast journalism and made a further move to join Phoenix Satellite Television in May 2003. Angela is now a well-known news anchor in her own American style. Currently, she hosts "Good Morning China" and "Magazine Critique" for Phoenix Satellite Television's audiences. |
