Ying Wu, Co-founder, Vice-Chairman of UTStarcom Inc., President to UTStarcom China Ltd. From 1987 to 1992, Mr. Wu was a member of the technical staff and later senior project manager of AT & T Bell Labs. Mr. Wu holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a BS in wireless communication from Beijing Industrial University. In 1991, Mr. Wu co-founded UTStarcom, a telecommunication company on Intelligent Network. When Starcom merged with Unitech in 1995, Mr. Wu was elected as Executive Vice President and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the new merged company UTStarcom. UTStarcom has rapidly expanded in the international markets. In the June 1998 Asia Edition Business Week, Mr. Wu was elected as one of the fifty Asian Star who influenced Asian Politics and Economics.[Text of Speech]
