The Boao Forum for Asia Wenchang Overseas-Chinese Farm School with its original name as Wenchang Overseas-Chinese Children School , was founded in 1978. There are 10 classes, 28 staffs and 438 students among whom 132 are overseas-Chinese children. Since its establishment, the School has brought up many excellent students, 52 students were matriculated by some best middle schools of the municipality.
In 2005, Boao Forum for Asia donated RMB200, 000 to build a new school building and to fix the doors and windows of the current teaching building. With the donations, the teaching conditions have been significant improved and the school was renamed as “Boao Forum for Asia Wen Chang Overseas Chinese Farm School ”. |
